To create a connector and ensure a smooth backup process, you must set up a service account that meets the required criteria. This is the account you will use to add a connector. For more details, see: Requirements for Azure DevOps connector creation and backup
Add an Azure DevOps connector
Before you begin, sign out of all personal Microsoft accounts and ensure you are signed in only with the account designated for the backup.
1. On the Connectors page, select Add connector > Add Azure DevOps connector.
2. Click Sign in to be redirected to the Microsoft sign-in page. Enter the credentials for your service account.
3. Review the permissions and grant access by selecting Accept.
Note: You will be asked for permissions only the first time you create a connector. After that, Keepit retains the permissions it needs.
4. You will be redirected back to Keepit where you can configure your connector.
Here you can:
- Change the name of the connector
- Manage user access to the connector by selecting the lock icon
- Limit the retention period by selecting the calendar icon
5. Select Create. Your connector will be created and the first backup will be scheduled.
